Institute of Chartered Accountant of India (ICAI) offers three levels of Course viz., CA Foundation Course, CA Intermediate Course, and CA Final Course. CA Foundation is an entrance test to become a Chartered Accountant(CA). Before 1st July 2017 ICAI named this Course as a CPT(Common Proficiency Test) but after July 2017, ICAI replaced CPT with the CA Foundation. ICAI conducts CA Foundation exam twice a year in the month of May and November the same for CA Intermediate and CA Final.
ICAI CA Foundation Last Date
In Case if you could not pass the CA examination in one or two attempts your registration will not get end, your CA Foundation registration will be valid up to Six attempts or 3 years. If you could not pass the examination in three years, then you can reapply your registration for the next 3 years by Submitting Rs 300/- as registration fees.
Eligibility Criteria for CA Foundation 2020
Earlier, the candidates can register yourself in CA Foundation Course after appearing Class 10th Examination. Now ICAI has changed the rule, the candidates can register CA Foundation Course after completing 12th examination.
The Good thing about this course is that there is no Age limit for this course and anyone can start this Course. Also, there is no reservation passing criteria or any campus placement. A Student must give his study time for 4 months for appearing the CA Foundation exam.
CA Foundation Registration Process 2020
Step by Step process of CA Foundation Registration:
1. It is very easy to register yourself for CA Foundation Course by Filling the online form available on ICAI official website
2. After landing on ICAI website, Click on the “Students tab”
3. Next, you will find Course Registration Forms see the below image
4. If you are a new CA aspirant then before registering for the CA course you need to create your login id and password by fulfilling your personal details like name, contact no., Gender, E-mail, DOB, etc.
5. After filling the form, you will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number and after OTP verification the process is complete.
6. After completion of the above process, you will be directed to your dashboard, which requests you to submit details in three different levels.
7. In the above image, you have to fill all the important details that have been asked and upload your documents on the third and last window of payment through the payment gateway.
After completing the payment process, the system will automatically generate the form which is mandatory to be deposited to the regional office and it should be signed by the Applicants within 7 days along with the below-mentioned documents.
Documents Required for CA Foundation Registration
The following are the important documents you require for CA Foundation registration
- Attested Copy of the Admit Card/ 12th class mark sheet issued by the respective board.
- One Latest Colored photograph( affixed on print out of online registration form)
- If Candidates is Foreigner, Attested Copy of Nationality.
- Attested copy of special category certificate i.e OBC, SC/ST, Differently abled.
- Attested Copy of 10th class mark sheet/ Admit card of 10th class indicating the Name and Date of Birth.
- After the completion of the registration process, the study material will be sent to your registered address by ICAI.
